A Christian response to Muslim criticisms of the Bible

A REMINDER from “the Scriptures”
“ “For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
nor are your ways My ways”, says the Lord.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are My ways higher than your ways,
and My thoughts than your thoughts.”
(Isaiah 55:8-9)
OUR GENERAL STATEMENT
In defense of Almighty God's choices and plans
GOD's PLAN and POWER: Even though man is sinful and imperfect,
God’s plan has been to use man to accomplish His goals on earth.
Spiritually, this began with Abraham and Moses. Obviously, even
His most anointed men have not been perfect (example: David).
God chose to anoint certain ones with spiritual revelations,
and they wrote them down. That's all. Anyone knowing Him
would not underestimate God's power to successfully accomplish
the recording of what He wanted to record, and the preserving
of what He wanted to preserve!
FREE WILL: An important part of God's plan from the beginning
was to give man free will. God didn't want His creations to be
robots. He wanted man to choose for himself to worship God,
and to be obedient to God's wishes and plan. He knew from the
beginning that man would fall (into sin). But, God wanted man to
have the free-will choices: to forsake his sin, to trust God for help,
and to succeed in overcoming his sin.
GOD's REASON FOR HAVING "THE SCRIPTURES" WRITTEN:
What do you think God’s purpose was in having them written?
Was it to write a history book? Partly, yes ... to write the history
of Himself, Satan, man, the Jews, etc. But, His main purpose was
to provide future generations with the spiritual truths concerning
God’s plan for man’s salvation. This was (is) God's great desire.
THE WRITING OF "THE SCRIPTURES": A few misguided souls were not
struck dead when they began adding their comments in the margins.
As for controversial words, phrases, clauses, passages, etc. in the Injil:
it's not important if they're there or not, because the same truths are
found elsewhere in the Injil (snake handling in Mark 16 is an exception).
But, in what way do these affect the spiritual truths of the Scriptures?
They don't cause God's major important doctrines to be changed.
As stated above, God is quite able to protect His important doctrines.
All of the protestant, evangelical, pentecostal, etc. Bibles have 66 books.
More than enough space there for God to say what He wanted to say!
Suppose there was an additional God-inspired book in someone's Bible,
would it change or cancel any spiritual truths in another person's Bible?
For example: there are 70+ Scripture verses, which reveal
that Jesus is God, that He is as much God as is Father God.
YOU CHOOSE: Which "Scriptures" would you prefer man to have?
(1) Scriptures which were inspired by God, but are not perfect in
every small detail because they were penned by imperfect men.
(2) A book which was not inspired by God, but was more carefully
crafted with details which are not important spiritually.
Please, we are not drawing an analogy here with the Qur'an!
We are saying that God did the best He could with the men He had.
And His important doctrines have been written down and preserved!
